PRIMARY-SOURCE FINDING
What the source establishes.
Eurostat reports that 20.0 percent of EU enterprises used AI technologies in 2025, up from 13.5 percent in 2024.
This is EU enterprise survey context. It covers enterprises with at least 10 employees or self-employed persons in specified NACE sectors. It measures reported technology use, not operating scale, financial value, or Lifsys performance.
LIFSYS ENGINEERING INTERPRETATION
Why the evidence matters.
A growing adoption rate answers whether enterprises use AI technology. It does not answer whether the technology owns a repeatable place in work, has a decision owner, or produces an accepted operating result.
Buyers need to distinguish access to AI from a system that changes a governed business process.
DECISION IMPLICATION
The operating decision it changes.
Track three different states: technology use, integration into a named workflow, and scaled operation with evidence and ownership. Do not use adoption alone as the delivery target.
ADOPTION-TO-OPERATION MAP / used technology, target workflow, operating owner, control points, acceptance evidence, scale dependency.
